Fight Mentor Case Study
I was originally put in contact with the guys from Fight-Mentor (the Sci-Mentor) by Sol Gilbert from ZT Fight Skool. Tom and Luke were involved with a company called Sci-Mentor, which provided sports supplements mainly for the bodybuilding world. They wanted to start something new and get involved with fighters and after visiting the UK’s largest Mixed Martial Arts events called Cage Rage, they decided that MMA was the way forward.
They offered to sponsor Sol Gilbert very early on but they needed to set about branding their newfound company as well as producing marketing material, product labels and clothing. This is where Incendios came in to play.
I met with Tom and Luke and chatted to them about their company, their plans and their history with Sci-Mentor. I like to make it a habit of having these types on conversations with new clients as it gives me a better feel of what might be required when it comes to ‘brief’ stage. During this conversation lots of ideas and requirements came to light.
I went away and drew up a short list of things that I felt were essential to start the Fight-Mentor branding process and also things that were achievable by the launch date. We planed to start with logo designs which then led onto stationery, product brochure, display stands and product labels.
There was also the small matter of an e-commerce web site with which Fight-Mentor would use to offer their products further a field.
Fight-Mentor is going from strength to strength and they are continuing to sponsor fighters not just from the MMA world but also the Muay Thai world. They can be spotted at most of the UK’s top shows and recently sponsored an entire event called UK-1
